A spot on analysis

Hahaha! Was reading the Chinese i Magazine and saw this interesting article. I cant helped it but to burst out laughing after finished reading the analysis about me (libra)

This analyse is talking about how friends see me:

(Here's the introduction of the test:)

Here are the analysis:

(Jae Poo, yours is here)

(Luxlass, yours is here hahahaha!)

(and here is mine! Libra! lol!)

Hahahahaha! I find it so 100% true that I have to nod my head and say BRAVO. Dear friends, yes, I do have alot more guy friends but not that I have 暧昧关系 with oke.

Maybe the fate angel has not knock on my door yet, but I am happy to keep the things as they are now.

Seeking is for those who are in need
But for me, I know I just wait to be seeked.

LOL!

Our Rainbow...

Was working late just now then! While I thought I was the last person, the AD popped into the main office, put down his document bag and went to the balcony, beckoning me "Come LF, there is a rainbow"

I left my computer and followed him to the balcony and to my surprise! I saw a very very big and well defined rainbow some where out there behind the forestry. We were both so surprised to have caught the sight of rainbow. Then suddenly, he offered to use his cam to take a pic of me with the rainbow. I politely declined and went to get my phone cam to take down this beautiful image. Hopefully this rainbow signifies a new fresh positive beginning for me .... Maybe god is really out there communicating with me again?

While waiting for the rain to come to an end...

After our meet up that day at West Mall. We met again. This time, with Woody along. After much negotiation, we finally set on going to KTV at party world (that is the cheapest I could find oke) at Tamah Jurong Shopping Centre.

The whole session was again hilarious because someone said he couldn’t find S.H.E. under in the singers list. Then I managed to find it, followed with a bet that he has to run one round the mall without pants. BUT loser Wood dare not. So there goes the fun but it was compensated by some video clips I shot of them, Woody and Spider Vixen singing duets, changing the KTV room into a battle ground, and I was rudely interrupted by that same waiter who popped in 3 times while I was taking the video clip (coming in to ask about any last order), when I was taking the video clip again (he came with the printed payment receipt), and while I am tying my hair with both my hands (he came in again requesting for my signature). I nearly screamed my head off after he left our room. However, having said that, I manage to took some clips about them which are very funny BUT I was told not to share with anyone through YouTube. So if any one of you wants to see those clips, could ask from me directly, I can show you from my phone. LOL!

Anyway, the Party world at Tamah Jurong is really a flop. Besides the location, although it’s very near to my house, but the shopping mall looks pretty “unsafe” with loitering foreigners gathering around. Those piercing stares just make one feel so unsafe. By the time the whole thing ended, it was close to 1am.

Then the next day, am out again KTVing at Halo Bar but this time it is SO MUCH CHEAPER cos you only need to pay for the drinks only (can you hear me, Spider Vixen and Woody? Cheap = Sing at hall, else sing inside your bathroom). The fruit punch is only $5. If you sing in the hall, per hr is about 10 bucks!

Sunday, which to many, is a FAMILY DAY, maybe spending a nice outing in some clubs or restaurants but it’s my rest day at home waiting for the next working day to come.

Monday was out again, meeting Ruifu for dinner and movie after his returned trip from Africa. This time, he got my “blue diamond”. There was so much laughter (as usual), about Africa, Batam, Bintan, my wantan mee, everything was funny. We caught K20 which was quite hilarious at certain part of the story and the plot was quite twisted ending but somehow I expected. Should we plan another Bintan getaway in May? Or perhaps a trip in Africa? Lol!

Tuesday was again out, with Spider Vixen, this time at Jurong Point, window shopping and dinner. Again, our fun time, talking about “four legs up the sky” becos she was giving me some bio lessons. Then telling me about her hardened poo which…..ermmm…kind of fell onto the floor, not once but twice and hearing that reminded me of those dog poo (small little blackie blackie ones on the floor in the cubicle during that time when I went to the Tamah Jurong Partyworld)

And Wednesday, here I am completing my blog entry while waiting for the rain to stop. How I wish the weekend to come sooner………

(my "blue diamond" LOL!)

Thunder Garage

It has been going on for a few weeks. This loud thunder sound started around 6:30am or 7am or 8am but definitely its when I am still in bed. I will always be woken up this this loud thunder sound which acho through the surrounding. It lasted a few seconds, then 10mins later, it will start again for another few seconds then 10mins later it started again. And this thunder lasted for a few hours. Unbelieveable right? I cant believe it too. And I cannot withstand it any longer.

Below you will witness the sound of the thunder (note: there will be "a moment of peace" when you hear the 1st thunder, then while you think there is no more...wait a while till the end of the clip. Hear the nice chirpings from the birds and you will understand how frustrating it is to be waken up by the loud thunder which goes on and goes for hours on a sunday morning, no! It's every morning!)

My episodes at West Coast Plaza

It was another one of our gathering, this time, near her house at West Coast Plaza where she came with a tee shirt with printed word “Miss Slutty” in front of the tee. She said she spotted the tee and bought two, one for herself, another for me.

West Coast Plaza previously known as the Ginza Plaza has recently been in operation and majority of the stores are eateries. It is pretty easy to spot a café or a restaurant after a few steps you have walked.

We went to this Chicken Restaurant (I didn’t bother to see the name of the restaurant) and started ordering our food. The manager came over and took our orders, telling us that an additional of 3 dollars we will be entitled to soup, drink and dessert. So here’s the conversation I had with the manager:

Manager: What soup would you like?

Miu: Cream of Mushrooms

Manager: And drinks? We have Root beer, Pepsi and Sprite

Spider Vixen: Give me rootbeer

Manager: What about you miss?

Miu: What drinks do you have?

(Spider Vixen and manager laughed)

Manager: Your soul is somewhere else huh? We have Root beer, Pepsi and Sprite

Miumiu: Hahaha! Er…give me coke.

(Spider Vixen and manager laughed)

Manager: Oke, you mean pepsi? Ok.

After the little episode I had, Spider Vixen and I had a wonderful time laughing and teasing each other until we walked to the counter to make payment. The same manager served us again and before I left his counter, he said “Dun be nervous next time huh Miss!”

While walking about the mall with my spider vixen, she suddenly had an idea about waxing or threading. We went to this particular store and asked about pricing. After some ponder, at first seeing Spider V sitting on the chair waiting for her “punishment”, I decided to join her and gave it a try.

Then here came episode two.

The lady (looking at her, I guess she is from Bangalor) who threaded my face, puffed my right face with some powder, and with her strong arms, she held the thread in both her hands and her teeth and began working. I could smell her breath right under my nose, I almost wanted to die at that instant. While holding my breath whenever I can, and anticipate if the next portion she is going to thread will cause me much pain, I could only laugh and curse myself for agreeing to do it in the 1st place.

Then suddenly she asked me to “bok”. I looked at her with question mark on my face until she decides to demonstrate to show me. “Bok” means, to trap air in my mouth to puff up my cheek so that she could thread. I “bok” my right cheek while she worked hard and fast to thread off the facial hair. Then, either she had over exerted her strength or my facial hairs are too thick, the thread snapped a couple of times. My bladder almost burst, while I wait in anxiety when can I stop “bok-ing” and when will she be done with my face.

Then! While threading my chin, she was too overzealous until she threaded my lip too. I had to stop her and she apologized. Yes it bleed a little (and it still feels sore right now), but considering the fact that she is very hardworking, I forgave the whole incident and continued with the rest of the session with her, grabbing a piece of tissue in my hand while my bladder was still about to burst.

The pain only came when she did my left eye lid. I was told to “stretch”. I looked at her feeling puzzled, then she held my hands, directing me to close my eyes and use both my hands to stretch the eye lid (upper and lower) so that she could thread. Seconds after she started working on it, I went “ah!”…then “Ah!”….”AH! AH!” then “Stop! Stop!”. I sat up right and looked into the mirror, laughing. Yes she did a good clean job but by then, my eyes were watery and redden. The pain does not really last very long and after a good 15 mins or so, the whole episode finally came to an end with me making a quick payment and rushing off to the washroom to save my bursting bladder.

If you ask me if threading is fun? Yes, if its painful? Not really, if you think you should do it? I will still say yes!

So much for the experiences I had with Spider Vixen. Till our next appt at the threading shop again! Ah! Ah! AH!

The passing 13th and the arrival of the 14th

The only “bad” thing that could have happened to me on the 13th was my muddle-headedness to have left my mobile phone in my friend’s car after lunching together. Before I even realize about it, he is already on his way, speeding back to Loyang from Jurong. But being phone-less also means uncontactable which means, freedom too! Thank god he was able to return my phone back to me late in the night the same day knowing that I may go psychotic without my companion (phone).

With Friday the 13th safely passed when the clock struck 12, welcome to the 14th Feb 2009. This is the day when the guys are busy deciding what flowers to give while the girls will be thinking if he will be getting me any bouquet? This is the day when I will walk in the street and see that typical kind of look on the women faces.

Once, I was walking in the shopping mall. Walking towards me was a young couple, the girl as usual, holding a bouquet of flower in an upright position as if it’s a trophy she has won in the National Youth Olympics. The bouquet, was about the size of less than a height of 25 cm maybe, and about three roses. Something like what a bride will be holding during her march in. This young lady walked passed and I looked at her (natural reaction ma, when someone is walking toward the opposite direction). Her body language gave off a message that seems to say “See lady! I got flower you dun have! Hrmph!” Like what my colleague said to me recently, this is the day where the girls with flowers walking with hong (“air”, light feeted), while the married or single ones lie their heads low low.

On a separate occasion, I once dine n a restaurant and somehow, my date got me a bouquet and it was sent directly to the restaurant, nicely placed on the table before we arrived. The moment we walked in, there were attention given from the other diners, majority are couples (becos that is another vday). I looked at the other female diners, they looked back. My body language said to them “I am not here to hao lian, I dun know there is such an arrangement”. The other female diners seemed to reply with their body language saying “what is the big deal? The flowers are so ugly”, else some looked at the date with disgruntle.

Frankly speaking, I raise both my hands to agree that yes I love receiving flowers. But I have my criteria over the type of bouquet I receive. Some ppl may think, “Wha liow! got flower good enough, you are still so fussy over it?” Well, it’s not like something you get it every day and maybe that’s why I am so particular about it.

Personally, I felt embarassed for the girls who got miniature size bouquet and walked around the whole orchard the whole day holding that pathetic bouquet. It looked bad on the guy, and makes the girl looked “easily contented”. But on the other hand, some couples are seriously contented! Its just a gesture, at least he got me a bouquet and not just pluck that fern leaves from his neighbor’s flower pot!

This is the day when the guy ponders over his wallet, and trying hard not to spoil the day by disappointing his date. Well, a logical person will think that why do we have to spend so much money on a bouquet of flowers which withers in the next few days? Or the guy will at least try to convince his date on his point of view. The money could have been used more wisely on something that is longer lasting!

But seriously, what is the purpose of sending a bouquet? It is not money spent for something that withers a few days later, its money spent to bring smile on her face which many says money cannot buy happiness, its money spent to bring romance which many says money cant bring love, its money spend to give you the ambience which many will say money cannot buy you blissfulness. It is money spent to buy memories that perhaps last a life time. So men, why be such a miser over this little investment which last a lifetime? Or you rather hear her grumbles everyday or complaining to her closest gal friend or maybe her grandchildren that you got her no flower at all from the 1st day she knew you?

I remember back in my sec sch days, a classmate of mine bought me a bouquet of roses (I think there were pink, eight in total) but he was away overseas so he got another classmate of ours to pass it to me in the canteen right in front of any others who were there at that time. A bouquet of flowers back then could be quite a sum of money for a sec two student. I appreciated his effort and till this day, whenever I receive flowers from my dates or anyone, I will always recall back about what happen during my sec sch days. It is really a life time memory, something which I can never forget. Its really not just something that withers after a week and thats all.

I love receiving flowers but aint a show off, exhibiting mine, walking ard the whole of Singapore with it. If you got me one big bouquet, please put inside a paper bag. I will admire it when I reach home till it withers. If you want to send me a bouquet, to my home address please. Its embarrassing enough to receive the bouquet right in front of your colleagues, then carrying that bouquet back home.

Something smaller than a height of 30cm is a small bouquet to me. The colors of the wrappers are impt. The colors and type of flowers are impt. Colors should either be red or white only. Wrapper should be white or red or something that really complement the flowers, not pink flowers with orange wrappers or blue flowers with yellow wrappers. It looks horrible! Maybe the florist is color blind if that happens.

And yes I should be contented if someone else gave me some bouquets, but that doesn’t mean I should settle with something less than my expectations or I do not like receiving.

For the guys out there, if you can’t afford, then don’t buy any. If you wanna give, give something the girl likes and not what you think will burn a hole in your pocket and therefore you chose something small just to get away with a win-win situation. Anyway, you dun get burn like that everyday. Its only on Vday. So enjoy!

But I guess the person who enjoy the most on this day will be the florist shops and restaurants, happily counting money while the couples walk hand in hand around and around the malls….

Lastly, yes, I am an online exhibitionist, well! I don’t get to do that everyday what! So here’s what I received this morning......LOL!!

Happy loving Vday everyone! Hope everyday is a Vday for the couples out there! :)

I dreamt a dream!!

In dream, I am supposed to drop my worn clothes into the red colored pail but the next moment , I turned and saw the clothes were half soaked in the toilet bowl! I picked the clothes out from the dirty water and turned with disgust, leaving them on the bathroom floor and trying to use the shower hose to wash away the dirty water.

But then in fit of anger, I hit the shower head against the wall and it shattered into pieces. The pieces of plastics were all over the bathroom and I have to use the water to wash it down into the drainage, only to get clogged!

Then suddenly I shouted “its Friday the 13th!” The next moment, pieces of plastics were in my mouth and I vomited them out continuously, only to regain my concious at this point, back to reality, waking up for friday the 13th...

A meaningful catching up!

It been so long we last met, almost a good three years. Three years of not hearing from each other, no contact, no news, no updates, not even a text.

How amazing things could be after when we decide to let go of things and the past especially. My heart was pounding fast while waiting for his arrival. I tried to brush off the embarrassment and greeted him with a smile and we started to chat again. It felt like the good old days. Back to our secondary school days when life was so much simpler.

The journey to Central Mall seems so long. I was famished! Thanks to his talks and jokes. We managed to make our way to Waraku for our dinner. Anything from business plans to friends to markets, to stocks, to work, to the recent CNY. We talked almost 2 hrs in Waraku then continuing with the conversation at Starbucks before we decide its getting late for the day.

On the way back, I can’t contain the curiosity in me any longer and started asking for his explanation over something which bothers me even till this day. Come to think of it, how I can blame it on him? An adult should knows what he/she suppose to do. And when things bound to happen, it will. No one is to blame for the outcome which meant to happen in anyway. Anyway I know, whatever reason that is for his action, I will never accept. So why prompt further?

The returned journey was much faster and very soon, it was time for us to say goodbye. Hopefully, the next time we meet, it will be a big gathering with the rest… I do miss you guys and gals….and our gd old days in shuqun sec.....

My catching ups and a strange encounter

Manage to do some catching ups with a few of my friends, esp Claudiu, whom we been trying to arrange a meet up since last chirstmas and only managed to meet up just two wks ago for dinner. It was really nice of them to have rush over right after putting down their luggage and return from their KL trip. Jessie seems a nice girl and we were having a nice chat up throughout the dinner at Ding Tai Feng. Tho the meet up seemed so short but I believe there will be many more such gatherings to come.

(My belated chirstmas gift and sourveniers from Claudiu)

Then my meet up with my dearest Jae Woo and her wood block, dinner again at Vivo. As usual, the laughters and jokes filled up our stomach and Woody seemed to be getting bolder each time I see him, hearing the kind of jokes and words he say, it seems like he has been badly influenced by Jae Woo, needless to say.

Then was catching up with Ginnise a day before she left phuket with her hubby to be (congrats!) for her birthday celebration (I think), tho again, its at vivo and a short meet up but I enjoyed every moment and hope your preparations go smoothly till the big day comes!

Then was dinner with Ruifu before his trip to Africa (again! Please get me my blood diamond lol), movie with chester (Red Cliff II), edmund (Rise of the Lycans), badminton with alex (my greatest pal who will be moving out from jurong soon)

I never knew I have known Alex since IRC days! Friendship could be that unexplainably long lasting than my relationships. And the greatest news he has was he has finally patched back with his ex! With him shifting out from Jurong in the next few weeks, and probably finding a permanent new house in Tampines, that may mean if we were to play badminton again, sigh... its going to be a long long journey.........

Talking about journey. I met a strange man after meeting Ginnise and Calvin that day when we met for dinner. I called for a cab back home and Ginnise and Calvin walked me to the taxi point. The funny thing about Ginnise is, she spoke to the Cab Driver and say "you send her home huh" as if she is in friendly terms with the cabby driver, haha!

I hopped into the cab and the cabby and I started chatting (I dun know why I always chat with Cabbie uncles, maybe the journey is too boring...) This cab driver, is a male of his 70s or 80s. Malay man wearing his white embriodered songkok and he teased me why I left my friends and where are they heading? I replied saying ginnise and calvin are going for a movie, I dont want to be that spare bulb. He laughed and say no wonder she rushed to send you back home in cab is it? I bursted out laughing and agreed, Yah. LOL!

Then the cabby uncle asked where is my partner then? I replied "Uncle, I am single, no partner". He looked at me thru his rear mirror and said "why! why no partner?" I explained "troublesome la." He gave me a look, full of disappointment and replied "How can you say like that.."

Then he started to tell me about his marriage. He is a father of three children and has two grandchildren already. And he taught me how to maintain a good relationship, lst be patient, then relax, and then lead a simple life.

I argued: "Uncle, nowadays relationship no long lasting already"

He said "then what about your parents?

I replied "I wish I am in my parents' generation too, but sad to say, the generation I am in now, is different!"

He shook his head and say "how can you say like that.....you must have patient! Think positive!"

Throughout the journey was like a counselling session with this strange old man who seemed to know whats bothering me and he also seemed to know my attitude about relationships.

Before I alighted, he said to me "Be positive my friend." I replied "No point being good la uncle, nobody knows." He looked into my eyes and this is the time when I see his face. White long eyebrowns and moustache and he smiled and said to me "God will know".

I thanked him and took my change and wished that he has a safe journey before I alighted from his cab. Suddenly, I thought I have met a prophet and started wondering maybe God really heard my disgruntled against him and he has sent a messenger to pass me this message?

Thinking about this point, a chill brushes against my spine and I hurried back home...

The long break is over!

CNY has come to an end before I could even blog about how I spent it. I had a long break since the 23rd Jan, only to return office on the 02 Feb. As usual, I can’t see my table when I return as the areas are covered up with incoming mails, and documents.

The long break was boring for me but it’s a necessary escape from work. Thanks to the fact I have set the “out of office” reply to two of my email accounts, it certainly helps to minimize the no. of incoming emails (thought not a lot of helps but certainly helped!).

This year, with the absence of my sister (since she is married), house visitations becomes much more like a chore to me. Every year, this is the time to greet and then sit down and watch TV throughout for like 1 or 2 hrs while the elderly speak among themselves about anything under the sky. The only place I visited so far is just my grandpa place. The rest of the holidays were spending sleeping at home else wandering in the shopping malls and people watch.

My current work place is messing up! I started to wonder how long I can bear with it. I think I can, I should and I must. And time really pass by faster by having lunch outside my office.

The long break seem so short. Its back to reality and slogging again.
