It was past midnight. The ride seemed long and I dozed off. That familiar route ride home reminds me of him again. I closed my eyes, I do not want to see the familar scenes. I hope to reach home as fast as the ride could take me.
I dragged my feet into the lift, and pressed 11th floor. The door closed and while I let my guards down, the door opened again. Slightly more awake by now, I peeped out and no one was there. I pressed for the lift door to close again. It closed but opened again. This time, my instinct told me to leave. I stepped out from the lift. The other lift will not come down, and the one in front of me opened and closed it's door continuously. I stared at the lift for a few seconds. I do not know why I refuse to move. I stood there and watched.
Then something woke me, and I came to my senses. I walked my way up to the 6th floor, slow and easy with my relaxing pace. "Did I just have an encounter with the unknown or it was just me down on luck?" I asked myself.
Upon reaching the 6th floor. I looked at the lift again. It has gone up to 11th floor. Damn lift I cursed but resigned to my fate, continuing my way up to my unit.
